On June 4, 2024 (June 5, JST), the QS World University Rankings 2025 were announced with Keio University ranking 188th in the world, placing it in the top 12.5% of the 1,503 institutions evaluated. This is the highest rank Keio has achieved in the last decade. Forty-nine institutions from Japan were listed in the ranking, with Keio University placing 10th among these.
The QS Rankings involve the United Kingdom's Quacquarelli Symonds assigning a rank to universities and institutions around the world based on their aggregate score according to nine different indices including Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, and Citations per Faculty.
Out of these nine categories, Keio University did exceptionally well in Employer Reputation, where it was ranked 46th, and Employment Outcomes, placing 69th.
