In light of the situation regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), Keio University has cancelled the undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies for the 2019 academic year that were scheduled to be held on March 23 and 26, respectively. Related events such as the 25th anniversary alumni reception that were due to be held on the same day have also been cancelled.
We kindly request your understanding regarding the decision that the university has reached in consideration of the need both to prioritize the health and safety of all people who intended to participate and to implement protective measures against the spread of infection by COVID-19.
Details regarding the conferral of diplomas to those who have graduated or completed their degree program, issuance of certificates, etc., will be enclosed with the academic transcripts which are due to be sent out on March 10 as well as posted on the university website (keio.jp portal).
Information regarding the conferral of diplomas to correspondence course students will be posted on the Correspondence Courses website.
Additionally, the university will postpone the undergraduate and graduate entrance ceremonies for the 2020 academic year that were scheduled to be held on April 1 and 3, respectively. We will provide further details regarding the events and procedures for new students after enrollment (including the academic calendar) at a later date based on developments hereafter.
